3. Roberto Di Matteo
The former Chelsea boss has been looking for a new club ever since being dismissed (unfairly, in some people's eyes) by the European Champions last November. There aren't too many unemployed managers with "Champions League Winner" proudly stated on their CV's and that's precisely why the Italian is one of the front runners for the vacant Sunderland position. The former West Brom coach has never managed a team involved in a relegation scrap however, and was dismissed by the Baggies in 2011 when it looked as though they were in danger of relegation. Though he lacks the experience in getting a team out of the mire, his success cannot be overstated. In his brief tenure as caretaker Chelsea manager, he won the FA Cup and Champions League, yet was still replaced by the increasingly unpopular Rafael Benitez. Would he be prepared to go from Champions League winner to Championship avoider?
