Sunderland Transfers: 11 Players They Must Sign This Summer
6. James Wilson - Man Utd
James Wilson has caught the eye of many during his cameo appearances for Manchester United, usually appearing towards the end of sewn-up matches to inject a dose of energy up front. He has understandably struggled to find regular playing time behind Rooney, van Persie and Falcao, but managed to score three goals in 13 appearances - a tally not to be sniffed at considering the limited minutes afforded to him. Wilson has an incredibly bright future, and United are unlikely to let such a potential gem go, but a loan deal would be perfect for both parties. Sunderland desperately need pace up front, with only an ageing Jermain Defoe and broken-down Steven Fletcher up front. Connor Wickham apparently boasts one of the best sprint times in the Premier League, but never seems able to trap a ball in the first place. With these substandard options in mind, Wilson could be a gamble worth taking.
