Sunderland Transfers: 7 Players To Replace Connor Wickham

2. Loic Remy (Chelsea)

Despite starting in Sunday's Community Shield loss to Arsenal, Loic Remy could well be on his way out of Chelsea (especially following the arrival of Radamel Falcao). The Frenchman has failed to truly impress since arriving from Queens Park Rangers in 2014, but has previously proven his ability to score in the Premier League during his impressive spell at Newcastle. A more mobile, athletic striker than Sunderland are perhaps used to, Remy would fit in nicely alongside pacy new winger Jeremain Lens, giving the Black Cats' frontline a distinctly more dynamic feel. He would perhaps demand a decent chunk of the wage bill, but Wickham's departure will have given Advocaat and co. a little more breathing room in this regard.
