Sunderland's 2006/07 Promotion Squad - Where Are They Now?

LB - Danny Collins

Like Nyron Nosworthy, Danny Collins grew into a beloved figure at the Stadium of Light, but found himself struggling to succeed after leaving the club. He played two further full seasons for Sunderland after promotion under Roy Keane, winning Fans' Player of the Year in both 2008 and 2009, before moving to Stoke at the beginning of the 2009/10 campaign. Collins struggled to find his feet over the course of three years at Stoke, but almost led Nottingham Forest to the Championship playoffs after signing for them (and being made club captain) in 2012. He is currently still playing at the age of 34, and moved to fellow Championship side Rotherham earlier this summer.
