Current manager Garry Monk was the club captain as Swansea claimed promotion in 2011. As an aging centre half, Monk made just 27 Premier League appearances. But it is Monks involvement in the lower leagues for which he will be remembered for. Monk made 190 appearances for the Swans in the lower leagues, as a no-nonsense centre half. Leading the club to their highest PL position of 8th in the 2014/2015 season, Monk has received plaudits from all admirers of the PL. The 2015/2016 season will be his toughest test yet
