Tottenham 2-2 Man Utd: Premier League Player Ratings

Spurs

Hugo Lloris: Brought down Welbeck for United penalty and booked. Misjudgement was fractional though. 5.5/10. Kyle Walker: Scored the opener with a low free kick through/beneath the wall. Terrible sliced clearance caused first Rooney equalizer. Jekyll and Hyde stuff from England's understudy right back. 6/10. Michael Dawson: Saw an effort from a corner blocked by Rooney. Struggled with the interchanging of opposition forwards, though this largely happened in front of him. 5/10. Vlad Chiriches: Lost possession on a couple of occasions and also had to come over to help Vertonghen out. Hit and miss in his handling of Rooney. 5.5/10. Jan Vertonghen: Fine tackle on Rooney at 1-1, tried to stick with Valencia but more often than not needed Chiriches to come across and help him out. The sooner he moves back into the centre the better. 5/10. Mousa Dembele: Lost possession in the run up to the Rooney goal. Outshone by teammates in the midfield battle. May lose his place again on this evidence. 4.5/10. Sandro: It says a lot when Spurs' holding midfielder is their best player. Fantastic block on Rooney shot early on. Scored a stunner to put his team ahead again. 7.5/10. Click next for the rest of Tottenham team, including subs.
