Tottenham Transfer News: Real Madrid Agree £36 Million For Luka Modric

Tottenham have agreed a £36 million fee with Spanish Giants Real Madrid for the sale of Luka Modric.

The Sun newspaper, Tottenham have agreed a £36 million fee with Spanish Giants Real Madrid for the sale of Luka Modric. The 26-year-old playmaker has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane all summer and despite the Croatian training with the club when he returned from Euro 2012, it looks like his future is set away from London. Whilst neither Tottenham nor Real Madrid have commented on the story, The Sun acknowledges that a deal has been agreed between the two sides for the midfielder. Modric has been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United for the past two seasons, along with Chelsea last season but unless Sir Alex makes an offer, Modric looks set for La Liga. Modric€™s attitude has infuriated his new manager Andre Villas-Boas, and the former Chelsea boss has expressed his intention to remove the player from the club as he intends to re-use the funds of his sale to rebuild the Spurs team. As this saga continues, we await an announcement by either club to confirm the agreement and if the story holds truth then Modric could be well leaving the Premier League and joining the La Liga Champions before the month is out.
