UFC Fight Night 42: 11 Matches To Make For The Winners
9. Scott Jorgensen
First off, let me just say that I am definitely a Scott Jorgensen fan. As a fight fan, you have to love the way he fights, his heart, and his solid chin. So it was tough watching him drop his last three fights, including one to friend and consistent title challenger Uriah Faber. When Jorgensen made the drop down to flyweight, I was hoping it would reinvigorate his career and perhaps lead to a serious run at the belt, but he lost his first two and was in dire need of a win at UFC Fight Night 42. Thankfully he got it, over a game Danny Martinez in a fantastic scrap that stole the show on the undercard. What's next? Personally, I put him up against the winner of Dustin Ortiz vs. Justin Scoggins at the Ultimate Fighter finale in July. Louis Gaudinot would also be a great fight for the fans. Both Ortiz and Gaudinot are ranked slightly higher than Jorgensen, so wins over either would help his case to push into the top 10 in a thin division.
