UFC Fight Night 42: 11 Matches To Make For The Winners
8. Lance Benoist
Brutal honesty time: I nearly fell asleep during the Benoist/Voelker fight, especially as the commentary team continually made reference to altitude impacting the fighter's conditioning. I get it, thin air and all, but no amount of excuse making was going to cover the boos in the crowd. It didn't help that this fight came after a great scrap between Jorgensen and Matinez either. Realistically, Voelker is probably done in the UFC, as he was 0-3 coming into the fight, and Benoist himself was likely fighting for his job. He managed to secure that, but little else. William Macario, who is also coming off a win over Voelker from back in December, could be an option should he return. Otherwise, a fresh face entering the organization might be a good option.
