UFC: Ranking Anderson Silva's 11 Title Fight Wins

2. Silva vs. Vitor Belfort

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhkoqvXMd9k Forget all the hype about Steven Segal helping him perfect the kick (Silva claimed that the action movie star had helped him with the move, then later downplayed the actor's involvement). What you need to remember about Anderson Silva's UFC 126 victory over Vitor Belfort is this: for perhaps the first time in MMA history, a fighter in a major promotion front kicked his opponent in the face, knocking him to the canvass in the process. It was a move that most fighters wouldn't have considered. After it, Lyoto Machida duplicated the feat in Randy Couture's final fight in the UFC, using more of a "Karate Kid" crane kick style. Silva, however, did it first, did it with flair, and shocked the MMA world with the move. Belfort, who is a serious threat to any fighter, didn't make it out of the first round.
