World Cup 2014: 5 Wildcard England Picks Roy Hodgson Should Consider

After the 2014 World Cup draw was made the other day, attention has been drawn to the competition and what might occur in Brazil. Certainly media and analytics companies are already putting together their projections for the tournament on who may win, and how England are likely to fare. However, the subject of this particular slideshow isn't so much about making projections on how England might perform, but instead looking ahead to some of the selections in the squad. I have previously looked at some of the players that shouldn't go, but this is a look on some players that should although they may not currently be on the radar. The term wildcard seems appropriate here, because it's very unlikely that all five of the players mentioned here will make it into Roy Hodgson's final 23. The Group D draw was certainly tough on the Three Lions with games against Italy and Uruguay, but a great leveller might be to include some players that they won't know much about. So, let's have a little luck at who has made my cut.
