World Cup 2018: 10 Most Dramatic Moments From The Group Stage

9. Mina's Group Winning Header

What a player Yerry Mina has been for Colombia at this World Cup so far. The Barcelona man has been fantastic at the back but even better up front, contributing to his team's efforts with two vital goals as they got their World Cup back on track after a frustrating opening game due to the aforementioned red card for Carlos Sánchez.

Colombia found themselves in a tricky position on the final day of the group games. They were a point behind Japan and Senegal and needed a win to be sure of qualification, as well as hoping for a good result in the other game for them to top the group. They laboured for much of the clash with Senegal and an injury to their star man James Rodriguez looked set to curtail the Colombians' campaign.

The game was passing the team by until the 74th minute when the 23-year-old defender, who also scored in Colombia's win over Poland, sent a smashing header into the back of the net. Mina's goal won the game and made sure that Colombia were the only team to win their group despite losing their opening game. His defence prowess also helped them secure their second clean sheet.
