10 Amazing Sci-Fi TV Shows You Need To Stop Sleeping On
3. The Expanse
The Expanse is, without question, the most visually-stunning show on television these days - which is pretty ironic considering that it very nearly wasn't even on television today.
Yes, the-little-show-that-could on SyFy was almost ripped away from us when the network unceremoniously cancelled it after three seasons, but thankfully Amazon stepped in to save the day, transforming it into the-big-show-that-would by taking it to newer, greater and far more impressive heights.
But what makes the show so impressive? Well, it's a lot of things really. The show - which centers on a group of antiheroes whose investigation ends up landing them at the heart of a major conspiracy in a future in which humanity has, yes, colonised the bloody Solar System - is a riveting blend of engaging characters and beautiful computer-generated imagery that would be right at home on a screen much bigger.
Its fourth season may be its most thrilling yet, but if we're being completely honest, The Expanse never misses a beat when it comes to compelling character-driven storylines - something that it manages to blend well with surprisingly relevant political themes.
