5. The League
The setup of a bunch of largely immature guys hanging out is hardly an original one, but if it ain't broke don't fix it, and The League certainly takes the formula and runs with it, with an energy that rarely lapses over the course of the six seasons available on Netflix. The League isn't shy of delving into faeces and penis joke territory, but with the talent on board (including Mark Duplass and Nick Kroll of Kroll Show fame) and a tendency towards improvisation means that this is several cuts above the show's more mainstream points of comparison like Adam Sandler's Grown Ups. Despite being based around a fantasy football league you don't need to know a thing about the sport itself, although the many NFL cameos will certainly keep sporting fans happy. It's the one-liners which keep the show rolling (there's a real feel that the actors are in their element trying to get one up on each other), with lines like, "Can you tell a man's sexual orientation by how much he loves charades?" encapsulating the mindset of the characters. It's their twisted logic, constant flow of put downs and stream of banter which makes The League so consistently funny.
