10 Amazing TV Comedies On Netflix You Need To Binge-Watch

4. The Trip

If the pacing of The Trip often resembles a gentle drive in the countryside, that's no doubt on account of the fact that much of the series revolves around Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon driving from one fancy restaurant to another, ostensibly for the purpose of reviewing their food but mainly for our amusement at watching their endless banter and impressions. The repartee between the two established British comedians is more than enough to hold The Trip together, with them essentially playing themselves and the show noted for its relaxed, conversational tone, their friendly rivalry and knowing observations on everything from fame to relationships feels completely naturalistic. Occasional descents into outright silliness provide the icing on the cake, and their back and forth impressions of Michael Caine and Tom Hardy are hilarious and are essential viewing for fans of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. The Trip isn't the most laugh out loud comedy of all time, but if you want to see two of Britain's finest comedic talents improvising and clearly having loads of fun in each others presence, this is the perfect series for a lazy Sunday afternoon while you wait for your dinner to settle (watching this on an empty stomach isn't recommended...).
