10 Animes To Watch If You’ve Never Seen Anime
7. Zombieland Saga
Part isekai, part horror, and part high school idol group, Zombie Land Saga is a sight to behold.
A typical isekai may start with the protagonist encountering some sort of accident that magically transports them to another world. However, this anime sees high schooler Sakura Minamoto hit by a huge truck and killed on the spot.
A decade later and Sakura is rudely reawoken to find that an excentric agent has decided to put together a pop idol group made entirely out of zombie girls. The premise is so bizarre that each moment is a hilarious joyride.
Not to mention the show features the greatest if not only zombie school girl rap battle in anime history.
While the show is often goofy and light-hearted there is a certain level of morbid sadness that seeps through one in a while. Through the various singing and shows, it can be easy to forget that these are all young girls that had died at some point in the past. Each girl originates from a particular point in time with some being long dead for countless years.
There are quite a few layers to this series that are worth delving into even for the sheer spectacle of this strange yet wonderful anime.
