2. Mob Psycho 100

The creator of One Punch Man, the international success, brings us Mob Psycho 100, another masterpiece. The series follows a young child, Shigeo Kageyama AKA Mob, who possesses extraordinary spiritual powers but is rather inept at dealing with everyday life. While Mob fight spirits and other psychics and is, for the most part, more powerful than all the rest, he faces most difficulties in fitting in with his fellow classmates and breaking out of his fragile, shy, and scared personality.

Mob Psycho is light, amusing, and funny, and does a great job in presenting complex emotions like jealousy, hatred, anger and love. The series, through colorful characters and funny episode plots, focuses on the bond of brotherhood, the aim for peace instead of violence, and the thirst for power that humans so often fall victim to. Mob is a likable character everyone can relate too while the supporting cast bring personality to the table, helping and directing young Mob in a border-less worlds of murderous spirits, bullies, and global crime organizations made-out of extremely powerful psychics.

I like to think of myself as a world traveler and social butterfly, although I do spend a lot of my time watching the latest Japanese anime series, sitcoms, movies, and drama series. I live on the island of Crete, where I was born, and enjoy walking on the beach with my little cocker spaniel, Molly, when I'm not writing for WhatCulture.com and UNILAD.co.uk.
