Erased is a series which perfectly presents love and hate, childhood and adulthood, right and wrong, and the relationship between a mother and her child, is both the best and worst way.
Protagonist Satoru is sent back in time, to his childhood, in order to solve and prevent the murder of one of his classmates by a serial killer, who is still alive in the present day. Satoru, with the body of his childhood self and mind and knowledge of his adult self, relives his childhood days, searching for the killer, appreciating what he’d taken for granted, and honing relationships he, as an adult, wished he’d never lost.
Erased is a work of art that pulls on the heart strings and talks to the adult and child inside each of us.
