10 Best Episodes That Make Bad TV Seasons Worth Watching
5. Switch The Flip - Family Guy (Season 16)
Family Guy has long been seen as the rival or contemporary (or both) of The Simpsons, but its fall from grace has been far less publicised. People will still tell you it’s rubbish now, but their voices tend to be quieter, the cut off point for vintage quality less clear cut.
Some would say Season Seven, but there’s definitely a claim to be made for both earlier and later.
However, by Season 16 it’s clear Family Guy ain’t what it used to be. Tuning in week to week, you have to cross your fingers that you’re getting a good one. Most recently, You Can’t Handle The Booth scored an eye watering 3.7 out of 10 on IMDb.
With Switch The Flip though, Season 16 delivered quality many fans thought the show had lost touch with a decade earlier.
The episode involves one of Stewie’s contraptions, and offers up one of the best body switching episodes on television (though somehow only the second best of its kind on this list). Stewie swaps with Peter, Brian with Chris and to go into everything that happens would ruin the experience. Let's just say that Stewie as Peter on a sexual retreat with Lois is genius.
