5. The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot

While the official 50th anniversary festivities paid tribute to the Doctor's past, it was an unfortunate truth that not all of his former incarnations could be invited along for the ride. But that wasn't going to stop them! Never one to give up without a fight, Fifth Doctor Peter Davison decided to take matters into his own hands by joining forces with his fellow disgruntled Time Lords to create a comedy spoof in special homage to the show's golden celebrations. Entitled The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, it debuted - to critical acclaim, we might add - on the BBC Red Button on Saturday 23rd November 2013. Co-starring an array of Doctor Who stars past and present and a host of celebrity fans, such as Jon Culshaw and Peter Jackson, the inhabitants of Peter's address book came together to honour the Time Lord in a fictionalised adventure which documented the rejected stars attempt to sneak into the Doctor Who studios in Cardiff. The special recieved international recognition and was even nominated for a coveted Hugo Award earlier this year. With a sequel reportedly in the works, it looks like we haven't seen the last of the Five(ish) Doctors..
