10 Characters Game Of Thrones Killed Off At The Wrong Time

When it comes to thinking of the most powerful families in Westeros, a genuinely underrated name were the Tyrells. High Garden's strong and intelligent inhabitants were an utterly integral piece of the puzzle, and the brother and sister pair of Margery and Loras made some big plays in the game of thrones.

The two have been included as a pair, mainly because they both perished in the Great Sept of Baelor explosion. This huge event took out a tonne of notable characters, but Margery and Loras were the most surprising.

It seemed like Margery would be a prominent player in the show's future, as her marriage to King Tommen put her in a highly statured position, and there was a tonne of teasing about her being the foil to Queen Cersei. But sadly, none of this ended up coming to fruition, as she was unceremoniously destroyed within this scene.

Additionally, while Loras hadn't played too big a hand in the narrative, he was a fantastic swordsman, and seeing the character go through some hardship could have made him stand out. But just like his sister, he was taken from viewers before his story was finished.

This entire sequence was phenomenal, but losing so many Tyrell's was devastating for the fans and the narrative.
