10 Cult TV Shows Taken Too Soon

6. Danger Theatre

Danger Theatre
Universal TV

Another comedy, this time from the director of Wayne’s World, Danger Theatre featured spoofs of Knight Rider and Air Wolf in Diedrich Bader’s The Searcher, a man on a bike riding into a series of nondescript towns to solve crimes before slipping away, normally moments after being crushed by some item falling from the sky - it was not a subtle comedy.

A Hawaii Five-0 spoof in Tropical Punch starred Adam West as a clueless police detective helped by a clued-up partner. This was another comedy in a similar vein to Police Squad and Airplane, each episode playing out with the two short shows wrapped around the ad breaks with narration by Robert Vaughn.

The quirky, slapstick show didn’t work for viewers and it ran for a mere seven episodes before sliding quietly off the schedules with a whimper.

Marc Chadburn hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
