10 Doctor Who Bloopers You Need To See

5. Contagious Corpsing

Uncontrollable laughter is one of the most common reasons bloopers happen, and can result in countless takes being required to get the shot right.

Though the last few years of Doctor Who have been disappointingly light on deleted scenes and bloopers, a couple of gems have been released. That includes this one from the filming of Series 12's Praxeus, where most of the cast was struck by some of that uncontrollable laughter, disrupting filming for quite some time until they could compose themselves.

The problem was one of those sounds that even the most experienced thespian would struggle not to laugh at: a fart noise.

The costume of one of the actors in the scene made a farting noise whenever he breathed, so of course, it was going to cause some giggles. What made things even harder was that the more the actor laughed, the louder the noises got, which caused even more laughter among Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill, Jodie Whittaker, and the rest.

Whittaker also noted that Walsh is a notorious "corpser", which made it even harder to regain any sort of control once the chaos began!

Sometimes you hear my voice, sometimes you see my face and sometimes you read my words! But I’m usually away with the faeries and timelords! ?‍♀️

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
