4. Like Father, Like Daughter

Of all the Doctor Who characters worthy of a comeback (and there's a lot of them!), Jenny's is probably one of the most fan demanded. After her first appearance in The Doctor's Daughter - oh no they didn't - in Series 4, she has never strayed too far from the top of Whovian wish lists, but just what is it about Georgia Moffett's one-off character that makes her oh so special? Apart from the fact she's the Tenth Doctor's artificially created daughter, you mean? The title of her starring episode alone sent the fandom into complete overdrive so you can imagine what the posts on Outpost Gallifrey were saying when it was revealed in its opening titles sequence that she really was the off spring of our beloved Time Lord. Well, if a soldier being replicated in a progenation machine using a sample of his DNA for the purposes of fighting in an ongoing war on Messaline (just kidding - it's only been going on for a week!) can count as being his daughter, anyway. For the sake of this argument, though, let's say it does. Besides, she really was a bona fide Time Lord after all, with two hearts and all the flare and intrigue one must possess in order to become a coveted member of space and time's most senior species. Although the Doctor needed some convincing, Jenny was well and truly accepted by him - and us - by the time she got around to showing off her insane backflipping skills but their time together was over before it had truly began when she was shot dead at the end of her debut adventure. It's always the way. And she was originally going to stay dead, too, but she was ultimately resurrected at the request of Steven Moffat, who was at this point about to take over the show as its head writer, so you can't blame fans for taking that as a hint that he was planning on writing her back into the series at some point. 6 years later and that is yet to happen, though, but it hasn't stopped fans speculating about what she' mint be getting up to these days. Getting herself into all kinds of timey-wimey mischief, no doubt - she even stole a spaceship from Messaline and ran away to the stars. Sound familiar? Yep. She's definitely her father's daughter!
