10 Greatest Jesse Moments In Breaking Bad
3. Western Shootout - El Camino
As stoked as Breaking Bad fans were about getting a movie made about Jesse, there were still many skeptics wondering as to whether it would actually work. Since the show ended on the perfect note for Jesse's character, why would we need an hour and a half detailing what he did afterward? Well, when you have some loose ends to tie up, you get one hell of a final arc at the end of the El Camino.
Looking to move out of Albuquerque and make a life for himself in Alaska, Jesse comes up with the money to get out, only to come just shy of $2000 short of his goal. Having to nab his leftover cash from one of Uncle Jack's puppets, Jesse's plan is ripped straight out of a Western, as he has a standoff with his enemy only to have a concealed gun underneath his jacket to blow him away.
There's also a clever narrative device towards the end, as Jesse puts on a hard-as-nails face when one of the henchmen claims to have kids, even though we all know that he wouldn't lay a finger on them. For as much as he tried to wipe away the sins of his past, this is the kind of ingenious plan that would have made Heinsenberg proud.
