10 Hugely Underrated Fantasy TV Shows From The Last Decade

2. Pushing Daisies (2007-2009)

ABC

It was never a question of whether to include a Bryan Fuller show in this article, but rather which of his underrated gems should claim a spot. Dead Like Me aired in 2003, and the wonderful Wonderfalls a year later. Hannibal, meanwhile, was pretty well-loved (even if NBC didn't quite agree). So it falls to Pushing Daisies to make this list.

It's about Ned, a pie-maker with the ability to bring things back from the dead with a single touch, but there are stipulations: if the revived thing lives longer than one minute, something else will die in its place; if he touches the revived thing a second time, it was once again die. Enter Chuck, the woman he loves, who he brings back but can never touch again.

Pushing Daisies is as sweet and whimsical as its predecessor Wonderfalls, and with just 22 episodes was cruelly short-lived. Those 22 episodes are essential viewing for Fuller fans though, and really showcase his inventive approach to television.
