10 INSANE Kills From Horror TV Shows

3. Josie Packard - Twin Peaks

True Blood Lorena Death
ABC

David Lynch's Twin Peaks is arguably the single most mesmerisingly strange TV series ever produced, as is perhaps evidenced no better than by the totally barmy end for Josie Packard (Joan Chen).

Mid-way through the show's second season, Josie's increasingly volatile actions come back to bite her when Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) and Truman (Michael Ontkean) catch her red-handed after committing a murder at The Great Northern Hotel.

Josie, refusing to face jail time for what she's done, then points her pistol to her chest and... dies?

We don't see or hear a bullet fire, but she nevertheless lies dead on the bed. But that's hardly the weird part - to top it off, the scene (and episode) ends with a haunting, totally unhinged visual of Josie's spirit (or something) becoming trapped in one of the Great Northern's wardrobe knobs.

If you can forgive the admittedly dated and goofy CGI, it's actually a pretty horrifying idea existentially speaking, to have your life essence encased in a wooden knob forever more, its fibers even twisting to fit your pained, helpless face.
