2. Quagmire
Every great TV character has to be flawed, it’s what makes them accessible and relatable to the audience. No one would be able to connect with a completely perfect character, but then there are those that go in the other direction, and are absolutely irredeemable. Glenn Quagmire is such a character.
His sexually deviant ways may have been endearing to his buddies at the Drunken Clam, but they were a real problem to the town of Quahog. On numerous occasions he deceived women, drugged women, planned on raping women, and he even slept with his best friend’s wife.
The man has absolutely no morals, and belongs in a prison cell for some of the things he has done. Then there is the completely homophobic and transphobic way he dealt with his dad making the transition to being a woman. Even Seth MacFarlane described him as an appalling human being.
Though Quagmire may have been accepted and even popular back in 1999, today there is just no room for a character like this, even in a series as dependent on shock value for humour as Family Guy.
