7. Guenter
Much like with Wernstrom, Guenter the genetically engineered monkey allowed his brilliance to go to his head. He was arrogant, egotistical, and looked down on Fry just because he was a lot, LOT smarter than he was.
There are many things a person can be that can make them hated, but can also be forgiven. Arrogance is rarely one of these things. It is an ugly shade to colour yourself in, particularly when the intelligence that made you so special wasn’t earned.
Guenter didn’t work to become smart, he didn’t have the discipline needed to earn his intelligence so he didn’t respect it. He just liked being smart without having to earn it. It was the Professor’s special hat that gave him his cognitive faculties, but you wouldn’t know it from his boasting.
As well as the arrogance and straight-up unfriendliness, Guenter was as pretentious as a monkey could get. His appearance in ‘Mars University’ was enough, the writers needn’t bothered bringing him back for 'Fry and Leela's Big Fling', as no one was happy to see him.
