10 Most Hated Parks And Recreation Episodes
4. Leslie Vs. April (Season 5, Episode 7)
Part of the appeal of Parks and Recreation is Leslie's unique relationships, however perhaps the most rewarding and comical to watch is her relationship with April.
The two form a mentor/mentee relationship early on in the series, and though they’re very different people, they care very much for each other. With such a difference in personalities, audiences knew that someday they would come to odds with one another as most relationships do. However, the episode is ultimately a letdown.
In the ep, April takes the initiative and decides that Pawnee needs a dog park. After much research April find that the only viable space is the lot behind Ann's house. The problem is Leslie still wants to turn the lot into a park. The two are at odds with one another, but that’s not the problem.
What’s upsetting is how they go about trying to undermine each other. Leslie lies to April and tries to distract her from achieving her goal, and April seeks help from Leslie’s nemesis, Jeremy Jamm. Seeing these characters steep to such lows to outdo one another is really uncharacteristic of their relationship.
