7. Ancient Drones
When the Ancients left the Milky Way for the Pegasus galaxy, they left behind a few things. Some Stargates, a derelict vessel or two, and a weapons platform in Antarctica that contained thousands of small squid-like projectile drones. The weapons are capable of self-targeting an enemy and destroying them.
Drones were the Ancients' primary weapon, which sets them apart from other races, who typically use energy beams. Drones are incredibly powerful and durable, with each one capable of destroying a fighter. A single drone can also cause a great deal of destruction to larger capital ships.
When they were first found, Jack O'Neil managed to fire thousands of them at Anubis' armada as it sat in Earth's orbit. The drones shot into the sky and surrounded the vessels, plowing directly through and destroying them — their shields were utterly ineffective.
Drones are somewhat rare, but the Atlantis expedition found quite a few in the Pegasus galaxy, where they employed them as defensive and offensive weapons. Drones can take out Hive ships with a sufficient swarm, and when there are enough of them, they are all but unstoppable.
