8. Paul's Incredibly Forced Homophobia

Episode 1 sparked speculation over the sexuality of Paul Woodrugh, the least developed of all four main characters so far. He was previously forced to take a mysterious pill (implied to be viagra) before sleeping with his girlfriend, secretive behaviour greatly expanded upon in Episode 2. While investigating Caspere's cash withdrawals, Paul mentions that he was "hit on" by a "fag" at the bank. He attempts to make such a remark in an off-handed manner, but its forced nature is immediately picked up upon by his partner. Later he gazes from a balcony on the nighttime streets below, his gaze flickering from girls in fancy dress to a slender male figure emerging from a car. It's unlikely that such clues will go unexplained in future episodes.
