After spending most of the sixth season awaiting her trial and attempting to stop the Tyrells from taking her power, Cersei had had enough. Secretly scheming with her ally Maester Qyburn, she is able to take out all of her enemies in King’s Landing in one terrible instant.

Setting a new precedent for carnage, Cersei unleashed her inner Mad King and not only destroyed Balor’s Sept, but everyone inside as well. With a list of victims including her cousin Lancel, Mace Tyrell, Loras Tyrell, Margery Tyrell, the High Sparrow and her uncle Kevan, she was able to remove all opposition to her keeping and gaining power in the capital. Fans were horrified as they watched everyone who could bring the villainous Cersei down go up in a green ball of fire.

Not only did she wipe out everyone that had been scheming against her, her actions also led to the suicide of her last child Tommen (who was the King at the time). With her plan working better than she thought, she now sits on the Iron Throne with no opposition (except for a fleet of ships and three dragons on their way to her shores).
