10 Most Underrated South Park Characters
3. Bebe Stevens
If there is one place where South Park lacks, it is undoubtedly in its female characters. When thinking about the children of South Park, the two most prominent female voices are that of Wendy Testaburger and Bebe Stevens. Although Bebe doesn't shine as much as Wendy, she has had some great showings in the series, albeit sporadically.
Viewers have seen glimpses of her potential as an important figure, such as in the episodes "The List" and "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society". In both of these narratives, she played a vital role, first as an antagonist, and then a central figure.
Another of her most notable appearances was the episode "Clubhouses" which saw her develop a crush on Kyle and become obsessed with his "fine ass". Seeing this kind of behaviour in the show, and Kyle's ignorance towards its implications was incredibly juvenile and amusing at the same time.
Having an additional female perspective outside of Wendy is a great way to invoke narratives, and it's a shame that there isn't more frequent use of it. One thing is for sure, and that is that Bebe could be capable of a lot more, and doesn't get the respect she deserves for the flirty yet aggressive antics she brings to the show.
