6. Lady Gaga Writhes Around In A Bed Of Blood American Horror Story: Hotel
In recent years Lady Gaga's ability to shock has somewhat lost its effect. Sure, we all gasped when she showed up to the Grammy's in an egg, and yeah, we're all guilty of scoffing at her meat dress (not a euphemism), but in recent times it's all become fairly rote. Oh, Gaga did something weird how totally unique! With that said, she managed to shock once more during her introductory scene in FX's American Horror Story: Hotel, in which she plays a bloodsucker known as The Countess. In the scene, Gaga and her co-star Matt Bomer engage in a foursome with another couple, having sex then slitting the couple's throats, drinking and writhing around in their blood. It may be fictional (I know, I know, most of Gaga's live performance draws from fiction too, but don't be that person) but it's still utterly striking. Gaga's appearance was hotly anticipated for months, so her first scene had to be memorable. Fans expected it to be a bit gory, but even for American Horror Story, the scene is particularly gruesome.
