10 Plots From Stargate That Were Just Dropped

6. Aris Boch

Back to SG-1 and the season 3 episode 'Deadman Switch' featured a bounty hunter by the name of Aris Boch, played by none other than Sam J. 'Flash freakin' Gordon' Jones. In the shenanigans that ensue, it turns out that Boch and his race (what's left of them) have been forcibly addicted to a chemical to keep them obedient, since the Goa'uld apparently can't take them as hosts. Seems to be one of the few instances where the Goa'uld actually work together.

Since the villainous Sokar holds Boch's son as a slave in the mines, Boch works for him as a bounty hunter to earn his son's freedom. While attempting to capture a Tok'ra, Boch crosses paths with SG-1 and captures them. Given how much they're worth, he sees a way out. SG-1 have other plans, of course, convincing Boch to act with a conscience.

It all works out in the end and they part on decent-ish terms with Boch, but the last thing he does is pass a sample of the addictive chemical to Major Carter and ask if there's any way that the SGC can figure out a cure for it, to free his people. Carter promises to do her best.

Never mentioned again.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
