10 Star Trek Burns That Still Sting

2. You're Either Lost Or Desperately In Need Of A Good Tailor

In The Way of the Warrior, the Klingons arrive at Deep Space Nine, claiming that they have arrived to fight alongside their Federation allies. While General Martok meets with Captain Sisko and Major Kira in the war room, Garak and Odo enjoy a spot of lunch on the promenade. To be clear, there was always going to be an entry from Elim Garak on this list!

The pair spot Drex, Martok's son, hassling Morn. They approach him and Odo instantly shuts the Klingon down. Garak, smiling as he does, is quick to answer an insult that Drex hurls at Odo, slapping the man down with logic. This, unfortunately, adds to a target on his back that he never knew that he had.

The Klingons have arrived in the Bajoran sector to begin an invasion of Cardassia and these particular Klingons decide that Garak might as well be the first victim. As the man returns to his shop, the men quickly reveal themselves. Drex walks up to him and Garak does what he does best. He takes a breath, looks the Klingon in the eye and says:

Well let me guess. You're either lost, or DESPERATELY in need of a good tailor?

Drex asks him to guess again, then the men proceed to beat him to a pulp. However, Garak is right. Bones heal but the damage his jibes inflicted will last a lifetime.
