10 Superheroes Who Would Work Better On Television
5. Catwoman
Catwoman has had her ups and downs when it comes to the live-action adaptations of the character, but the best way to right the ship might just be her own series. Eartha Kitt played the character with a sexiness that defined the '60s and Michelle Pfeiffer did her part to make the character dark and tormented, but Halle Berry's turn as the burglar in leather just about destroyed her. Anne Hathaway did justice to the Selina Kyle name, but Christopher Nolan's use of the character was less about Catwoman than it was about providing Bruce Wayne with a female equal to fight alongside. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrVjDCtiNfw The great thing about Catwoman is the fact that there is already a blossoming DC universe on television that she could easily fall into. Arrow has done a tremendous job using characters who rely on wits instead of powers, especially when it comes to the female characters on the show. Catwoman could be introduced in a backdoor pilot to test the character with audiences. And if she is successful, there is little chance that The CW would turn down the opportunity for a show featuring an iconic character that would appeal to both men and women. There is no telling what the new DC universe has in store for the character, but it seems unlikely that we will see her in the near future unless Ben Affleck gets his own solo Batman film. I have been a writer for Bleacher Report for several years, and am now happy to also be a writer at What Culture! I do my best to contribute anywhere I can in a positive way, and that includes in my writing. Some people call me The Doctor, but Chris is fine.
