5. He Wore A Ponytail
David Tennant's hair is universally beloved - so much so that it's even got its own dedicated
Tumblr page (because there's nothing in this world that can match up to David's hair, apparently) - and in 2013 he shocked us all by revealing that his iconic do had been given the addition of a ponytail. There was no need to panic, though, as it wasn't him just going through a phase. It was actually for his portrayal of the titular role in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Richard II. David received acclaimed reviews for his performance but he was somewhat overshadowed by that tremendous wig. One critic likened it to a "Jesus wig" and described it as a "theatrical menace" in its own right. Some went as far as to say that it was actually the star of the show, but let's know get tied up in that debate. Here's a GIF of him stroking it for your viewing pleasure. Whip it, David.
