10 Times TV Shows Made Up Incredible Movie Ideas

2. Threat Level Midnight - The Office

Threat Level Midnight
NBC

Michael Scott's action movie: Threat Level Midnight is a masterpiece to behold. Not only does it feature a cyborg, a gold-faced villain, shootouts and a high stakes ice skating race, but it also has its very own choreographed dance routine dedicated to the action hero, Michael Scarn.

In Season 7 Episode 17 of The US Office, Michael has finished the final cut to TLM and gets the whole office (who also star in it) to gather in the meeting room for a viewing. This episode isn't just a hilarious chance to see a wonderful low-budget action thriller, but for US Office fans, it's also a trip down memory lane as it features guest stars since the beginning of the show.

The episode shows us a fair chunk of the finished movie but that still left the audience wanting more. Also, who wouldn't pass up on the chance to see Toby Flenderson's head blow up again and again?

With a larger budget, Threat Level Midnight would sit comfortably among the action film greats and, with the potential for sequels, there is no reason why it couldn't run longer than the Bond movies.

You don't see Bond with his own dance routine!
