10 TV Shows That RECAST Major Characters

8. Jesus Adams Foster - The Fosters

Crisis On Infinite Earths Batwoman
Disney–ABC Domestic Television

The Fosters wasted little time carving out a place in our collective hearts with its emphasis on family and the thought-provoking storylines that it tackled, and one character who found himself at the forefront of some of those stories was Jesus Adams Foster - Stef and Lena's adoptive son.

Though Jesus was a part of the show from the very beginning, he didn't always sport the same face, so to speak. The character was originally portrayed by Jake T. Austin in the show's first two seasons, but after the young actor made the decision to leave the show, he was replaced by Noah Centineo - who played the character for the remainder of the show's run.

Centineo proved to be a worthy successor and even went on to reprise the role in Fosters spin-off Good Trouble.
