Where To Binge: Netflix.

It might be fair to say that sitcoms are the easier thing on TV to binge watch, and there are plenty of other comedies that could have made this list, including Seinfeld, Cheers, How I Met Your Mother and Frasier.

Whilst these are all fine choices, there's no single sitcom more inventive, fun and surprising than Michael Schur's The Good Place, an endlessly witty assessment of mortality, death, the afterlife and philosophy that's at once ridiculously funny and beautifully life-affirming.

Airing just over fifty episodes across four seasons, the show's unique premise - a group of people are sent to the Good Place (Heaven) and find their afterlives turned upside down by demons, politics and romance - makes it a show with unlimited narrative potential, none of which it squanders.

It's strange, lovely, life changing and brilliantly performed (Kristen Bell and Ted Danson are simply divine), and at only 20-or-so minutes an episode, it's the perfect candidate for a light but thoughtful binge watch.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
