5. Tommy's Survival In Froopyland

The very nature of Rick and Morty, particularly recently after so much of Rick’s past has finally been confirmed, now falls under scrutiny. We know that our Rick isn’t our Beth’s original father, and yet at the end of season three, he is still chastised for how this Beth was raised by whichever Rick brought her up.

Namely, this was Froopyland, an entire world for Beth to run free and play in, with bouncy floors and breathable water. However, after taking her friend Tommy to her magical world, she pushed him into the honey swamp and left him for dead.

When Beth and Rick returned in the wake of the news that Tommy’s father would be wrongfully killed for the murder of his son, they found her childhood friend still alive. How? Sustained by the process of mating with Froopyland creatures, feeding upon his offspring, and becoming something of a god to his less delicious children in a horrific cycle of cannibalistic incest.

Alone each of those words are unthinkable, but Rick and Morty put them together in a ridiculously disgusting story that ultimately saw Beth kill Tommy, and go to Rick, resorting to producing a clone in order to save his innocent father.
