10 Worst Doctor Who Performances Ever

6. Kylie Minogue (Astrid Peth) - Voyage Of The Damned

Kylie Minogue has the face for TV but her acting ability just isn't as good as the hype would suggest. Astrid Peth is a great character in the Voyage of the Damned. She is a semi love interest cum companion for the Doctor, she is broken having lost her purpose for life and finally, having begun to find a passion for exploration with the Doctor, she is killed in what was a rubbish first death scene that was followed by a much better death scene. Kylie actually pulls off the character with some wonderful close up shots of her pouting and giving Tennant the wounded puppy eyes. But that's as far as her acting talents reach. There is a serious lack of convincing dialogue or chemistry and where it does appear is a result of clever editing, shot framing and the emotional machine that is David Tennant carrying them both. For most people that would be acceptable, but for a show-stopping, A-list celebrity it just doesn't cut the mustard and as a result La Minogue goes down as one of the most disappointing performances on the show.
