Once 2013, Doctor Who's fiftieth year officially began, there was much speculation over whether or not any former Doctor Who actors would be returning for the 50th Anniversary special. Many fans were hopeful for fan favorite David Tennant to return for the 50th Anniversary as the 10th Doctor, especially considering David Tennant's history of adoring Doctor Who, going so far as to credit the character of the Doctor as to why he chose to become an actor. As the first few months of 2013 past there was little information of the 50th Anniversary available and it was beginning to look doubtful that Tennant let alone any other former Doctors would return. On March 30 2013 it was announced to the applause of fans everywhere that not only was David Tennant confirmed to return for the 50th Anniversary Special but also that former companion Billie Piper would return as well. The news of David Tennant and Billi Piper returning was a sublime moment for fans and added to the growing hype that the 50th Anniversary was going to be epic on unimaginable levels. At the time of the announcement it wasn't clear as to whether Tennant would be the 10th Doctor or the meta-crisis Doctor or that Billie Piper would necessarily play Rose Tyler. For anyone who has seen "The Day of The Doctor" you know that David Tennant gave an amazing performance in his reprisal as the 10th Doctor. Billie Piper also got some greats moments, acting not exactly Rose Tyler but instead a Time Lord weapon called The Moment that took on the form of Rose Tyler, a figure from the War Doctor's future. It was so great to have these two talented actors return to Doctor Who and they didn't disappoint fans with either of their performances.
