11 TV Shows That Just Got Cancelled

5. On Becoming A God In Central Florida

Supergirl The CW
Showtime

With a title like On Becoming A God In Central Florida you just knew heading into it that the Showtime series would be an attention-grabbing affair. It lived up to that and captivated viewers as we all watched Krystal Stubbs do whatever it takes to work (or scheme) her way to the top of Founders American Merchandise and obtain a new life of riches and notoriety.

The show proved to be popular with fans and critics, with most remaining engaged throughout its 10-episode run and applauding Kirsten Dunst for what could very well be a career-best performance. All of that was enough to see that Showtime renewed it for a second season in September of last year.

However, a year later the dark comedy has become the latest in a long line of shows to have their renewal reversed because of the ongoing global situation.
