6. Oh Missy, You're So Fine, You Escaping Skaro's On My Mind, Hey Missy! Hey Missy!

Ahem, yeah, so how did she do that? What was her "very clever idea" at the end of The Witch's Familiar? Answers in a psychic container please, or more appropriately: explain! Explain!

Missy escaping the Dalek homeworld doesn't surprise us - we're used to her (and her previous and later incarnations in general) pulling many a Houdini.

Perhaps it's best to leave the explanation to Moffat himself. In an interview during a Radio Times Covers Party, he was asked "how she actually came back from certain death?" in The Doctor Falls, to which Moffat replied:

"I don't necessarily want all the gaps to be plugged. Kids out there are making up their own stories about how Missy escaped that place and regenerated into Sasha. They're doing their own version, and that's much more exciting to me than actually filling in those gaps."

In that case, Missy enjoyed a good old gossip with the Daleks about the Doctor's date night with River Song on Darillium, and danced with Davros' dodgem in the pale Skaro moonlight. Of course the real burning question from that episode is: where did the Doctor get that cup of tea from?
