12 TV Shows That Were Cancelled Way Too Soon

6. Angel

When Angel walked away at the end of Buffy season 3, having helped the Scooby Gang defeat the Mayor, many may have been worried they wouldn't be seeing their favourite (at the time, anyway) vampire-with-a-soul again, but he soon popped up over on his own show.

Angel was the darker, moodier, younger sibling to Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but managed to move out of the shadows and become a popular and very good show in its own right. It ran for five seasons before its cancellation, which left creator Joss Whedon - not for the first time - feeling dismayed at the premature end of one of his shows.

Although like Buffy it has since continued in comic-book form, many fans were left feeling that it deserved another couple of seasons to take it level with the parent show, as there were still a lot of places it could have went and expanded even further in a post-Buffy world.
