Netflix must have thought they were onto a winner when Space Force reunited the creators of The US Office with that show’s hero, Anchorman star Steve Carrell.
So how did this mega budget sitcom end up so tragically unfunny?
One guess would be that an expensive satire of Trump’s most ludicrous endeavour should probably be daring enough to say, mention the name of the sitting US president behind the eponymous initiative. But instead this toothless series mocks the likes of Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, clumsily caricaturing the politician as… Someone opposed to the space force?
A program which the show itself thinks is so ludicrous it needed a sitcom about its creation?
One could say the late comedy icon Fred Willard deserved better than this, but that’s true of everyone involved.
