Justin Foley has always been one of the emotional hearts of 13 Reasons Why, and it's great to see that this is still the case in the third season.

As we discovered at the beginning of the show, the unbelievably handsome jock that, on the surface, seemed like an always happy guy had a lot more demons than he cared to admit - and that set him apart from the vast majority of his friends. Those demons, however, were magnified this season.

As Justin continued to struggle with his addiction, he also had to come to terms with the realisation that his former best friend, Bryce, was dead as well as the fact that the cops thought his adoptive brother Clay was the person responsible for his death. Moreover, he remained conflicted over the fact that he was still head over heels in love with Jessica as it contrasted his residual feelings of self-hatred over what he allowed Bryce to do her.

All of the above sums up Justin's character more than any words ever could. He's far from perfect and he's fully aware of it - but he's completely unwilling to let those flaws kill his determination to be better for the people that he loves.

From opening up about his own experience of sexual assault to admitting his addiction to the Jensens, he's finally ready to begin moving forward with his life - and after all that he's been through, it would be nice to see him finally achieve some kind of happiness in Season 4.
